Reaching Out Supporting Families Event

25 October 2016

Saturday 22nd October 2016 was a busy morning at The Junction Dungannon for STEPís Big Lottery Reaching Out Supporting Families team. Joan McCool (Project Co-ordinator), Virginija Kuizinaite Lithuanian Family Support Worker and Bernadetta Kepa, Polish Support Worker held an information morning for parents to inform them about the new project and discuss issues of concern for parents. A healthy turnout of thirty- eight families meant there was plenty of debate. The second half of the morning was spent engaging with over 100 pupils who attend the regular Language Club held at the Junction. Seven classes took turns to share their views on school, fun and things they would like to change or improve about themselves and their families. Many thanks to Lina Zeimiene, Language School Co-ordinator and all her staff for helping facilitate the workshops.
